The British Bill Clinton?

There is an old belief that former Prime Minister Tony Blair was the "British Bill Clinton." This train of thought, however, may have been challenged on Thursday night. In a British political first, the three major party leaders (and therefore candidates for Prime Minister) debated each other. The word on the street is that "third party" Liberal-Democrat leader Nick Clegg was the winner. A review of the debate shows a personable Clinton-esque performance by Clegg. Let's take a look...

Compare this performance by Tory David Cameron and Clegg (the video link starts at 15:00, watch for about two and a half minutes, until at least around 17:20):

With this one by President Bush and then Governor Clinton:

Amazingly similar! And it only took the British eighteen years to catch up to this level of discourse!

EDIT: Also, when talking about crime they really make Britain seem like an awful Clock Work Orange type place.
